Well not really shooting, shooting — as in with a gun-like shooting! Those who know me realize that I’ve caught the photography bug, and I’ve really been enjoying it over the past couple of years. I have a good friend and mentor (Zen) who’s been helping me along the way, and I think my skills have improved over time.
Lately though I’ve had the urge to do more portrait type photography, and so I turned to a site called ModelMayehm.com. This site is like a social network for photographers, models, makeup artists, etc. I’ve been fortunate to hook up with four models so far and conduct outdoor shoots. The goal is to help build up my portfolio, while also helping the model build theirs. It’s also invaluable experience for me along the way.
I’m also fortunate that not only does my wife support me taking pictures of pretty girls, she actually helps me during the picture selection process. Lila has a great eye, having worked at a modeling agency in Hong Kong, and sees a lot of things that I might overlook. So go ahead. Be jealous guys. I know I’m lucky!
