So here it is!

I’m still tweaking things on it, but I’m happy with the way it turned out. The header image at the top right is random, so each time you visit the page you could get a new image.

I’m interested to hear what you think! Oh… and just to spice up this post, here’s a recent photo from one of my latest model shoots…..and yes, that’s my ride!

As some of you may have known, I was diagnosed in early December as having a gallstone in my gallbladder. Oh well, not life threatening, it happens to a lot of people, so they told me they’d have to schedule surgery to have my gall bladder removed (a gall bladder is not an absolutely necessary organ.

So after much research, I realized that I had to cut virtually all the fat out of my diet in order to avoid having extremely painful gallstone attacks. Unfortunately the earliest they could schedule my surgery was for January 22 (yesterday). So in about 6 weeks I lost about 18 pounds (nice to get rid of some of that spare tire!) and had on average one attack per week. Some were mild and others lasted up to 5 or 6 hours. Many people I have spoken to say that the attacks are similar to when a woman goes through hard labour having a baby!

To make matters worse, 2 days before the surgery I had an attack start (Sunday night at 11pm). This attack lasted RIGHT up until I had surgery – more than 36 hours! OMG, it was the worst couple of days of my life. No joking. So I was probably one of the few who went in to surgery absolutely ELATED that I was having my gall bladder removed!

Anyways, it all went well, the surgery had no complications and 15 staples over 5 small incisions, the gall bladder and stone is OUT! The surgeon came into recovery afterwards and said that the stone was about the size of a damn golf ball! He also said that if I waited another day or two it probably would have ruptured my gall bladder or duct. Wow…talk about close!

So I’m recovering well, and just relaxing in bed with the laptop while the incisions heal. Can’t wait to have my body back to normal. Oh yeah…and eat peanut butter!
